As we prepare to celebrate the upcoming Holiday season, St. Mary's School will continue to focus on delivering daily in-person instruction. However, please know that our entire faculty and staff are prepared to adapt to any changes that may lie ahead in the future.
I would like to provide you with a few updates and reminders below:
First Quarter report card links are scheduled to be emailed this afternoon. To open the report card, your child's PIN number is their birthday (MM/DD). Please reach out to the office if you have any issues accessing your child's report card.
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be virtual this year and will begin next week and continue throughout December. Your child's teacher will be reaching out to schedule a conference.
School masks can be purchased through the school for $10. You can reach out to main office or use our updated gym order form. The gold "Crusaders for Kindness" shirts have also been added for purchase.
Please consider supporting our school by buying a Christmas wreath. Order forms can be found here and are due by November 24th.
Please consider supporting our Penny Fund by entering our Christmas Calendar Raffle found here.
Thank you for your continued trust and support.
Sincerely, Mr. Matthew Rucinski
Health and Safety News
Thanksgiving is next week and I am sure everyone is trying to decide what that will look like for them this year. Whatever you decide please keep up the good work of wearing masks, social distancing and hand washing. Don’t let your guard down!! We have all worked too hard to stop now.
We wanted you to have the basics of the new travel guidelines:
For any traveler to New York State from out of state, exempting the contiguous states, the new guidelines for travelers to test-out of the mandatory 14-day quarantine are below:
For travelers who were in another state for more than 24 hours:
Travelers must obtain a test within three days of departure from that state.
The traveler must, upon arrival in New York, quarantine for three days.
On day 4 of their quarantine, the traveler must obtain another COVID test. If both tests comes back negative, the traveler may exit quarantine early upon receipt of the second negative diagnostic test.
For travelers who were in another state for less than 24 hours:
The traveler does not need a test prior to their departure from the other state, and does not need to quarantine upon arrival in New York State.
However, the traveler must fill out our traveler form upon entry into New York State, and take a COVID diagnostic test 4 days after their arrival in New York.
