Mrs. Mary Rushkoski has been with St. Mary's School since 2001, beginning her tenure here as the school's technology teacher. In 2008, she assumed responsibility as principal. Mrs. Rushkoski received her Bachelor of Science from Siena College and earned her MSEd from St. Joseph's College with a degree in Education Administration.  She holds a Graduate School Certificate in Catholic Leadership from St. Joseph's College as well. She also enjoys her role in the St. Mary's Parish community, where she is an active communicant and a Eucharist Minister.

Mrs. Hyde is the school's Administrative assistant. She holds her Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from the College of St. Rose. She was formerly the Administrator of the Christ the King Spiritual Life Center in Greenwich, N.Y.

Mrs. Carrie Devine is a proud alumnus of St. Mary's school, and a lifelong resident of Waterford. She has worked in the field of Early Childhood education since she was a teen, and her classroom at St. Mary’s reflects her two decades of experience. Her Preschool classroom environment provides and encourages essential work and play encounters for the children, all of which contribute to the orderly process of growth and development of the child. Mrs. Devine attended Hudson Valley Community College and The College of St. Rose, and is married to a local high school English teacher and author. Together they have two daughters attending St. Mary’s as the third generation of Carrie’s family to receive an education there. She is proud of her school and community, and strives to maintain the important bonds between the two.

 Mrs. Patricia Keough joined our community in 2015, when she supervised of our Before and After School Care programs. She is responsible for our Pre-Kindergarten program for 3 year olds and 4 years (3 days a week). Mrs. Keough was previously a teacher for 14 years in Winooski, Vermont. She holds her Bachelors of Science from Russell Sage College in Psychology with a minor in Elementary Education.

Mrs. Mary Kate Green has been teaching for 35 years. She began her teaching career at Saratoga Springs Public Schools prior to joining St. Mary’s, where she taught math remediation. Mrs. Green has been at St. Mary’s for 29 years teaching Kindergarten. She received her B.S. degree in Elementary Education from S.U.N.Y. at Plattsburgh and went on to get her M.S. degree in Early Childhood Education at the College of St. Rose.

Mrs. Victoria Donnelly joined St. Mary's School in 2007. She studied at The College of Saint Rose and is certified to teach Childhood Education grades 1-6 with a concentration in Spanish. Mrs. Donnelly is currently working on a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from The College of Saint Rose.

Mrs. Lauren Nevins is our 1st grade teacher and joins our community after having taught at St. Augustine's School in Troy, N.Y. for 9 years. Mrs. Nevins holds her Bachelors degree from the State University of New York at Cortland and her Masters of Science in Elementary Education from the College of St. Rose.

Miss Susanne Norton has been teaching second grade at Saint Mary’s School for the past 37 years. Miss Norton received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Russell Sage College. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Developmental Reading from SUNY at Albany. In 2004, Miss Norton was awarded the Elizabeth Ann Seton Distinguished Teacher Award by the Albany Roman Catholic Diocese.

Mrs. Laurie Del Signore has been teaching at St. Mary's since 1996. She is currently teaching third grade, but has also taught first and second grades. Mrs. Del Signore graduated from SUNY Oneonta in 1996. She received her Master's in Education- Reading from SUNY Albany, as well as her Literacy Certification.

Mrs. Lynn Slater is joining our school community as our 3rd grade teacher. However, Mrs. Slater is not "new" to St. Mary's School. Mrs. Slater has been a substitute teacher for many years and her son attends our Pre-kindergarten program. Mrs. Slater graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Childhood Education from the State University of New York at Cortland. She then earned her Master's Degree from the University at Albany in Literacy and Early Childhood Education.

Mrs. Beth Keegan taught here for 15 years, before joining St. Mary's of Ballston Spa. Back in our community after a number of year away, Mrs. Keegan teaches 4th grade once again. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the College of St. Rose and her Master of Science from the State University of New York at Albany in reading.

Miss Jessica Sorensen joins our community as a 4th grade teacher. She earned her bachelor of Science in Childhood education as well as her Master of Science in Special Education from the College of St. Rose. She holds certifications in both childhood education and Students with Disabilities (Grades 1-6).

Mr. Matthew Murphy teaches fifth grade at St. Mary's. He received his undergraduate degree from Salve Regina University in History with a concentration in U.S. History. Mr. Murphy also holds a Masters Degree from the College of Saint Rose in Childhood Education, certified in childhood education grades 1-6. In addition to teaching, Mr. Murphy advises our spring football club as well as Student Council.

Mrs. Kelly Cerza joins our Middle School faculty as a Sixth grade homeroom teacher, instructing students in Math and Language Arts. Mrs. Cerza holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Master of Science in Education from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York.

Mr. Matthew Rucinski is currently in his seventh year teaching at St. Mary's School. He teaches Middle School Religion and Social Studies. Matt grew up in Latham, NY where he attended St. Pius X School (’02) and Shaker High School (’06). He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Education from SUNY Geneseo in 2010 and would later earn his Masters in Literacy from SUNY Albany. At St. Mary's, Mr. Rucinski advises Student Council and also leads several community service events throughout the year.

Mr. Robert Rathbun has joined our community and is our one of our school's Middle School Math teacher. Mr. Rathbun also instructs our Middle school students in technology. He holds his Bachelor degree in Business Management from Hofstra University and earned his Masters degree in secondary education from Jones International University.

 Mrs. Mary V. Wilcox joins our faculty as our Middle School Science Teacher.  Mrs. Wilcox instructs our Science 6, Science 7, Science 8 and the Regents Living Environment classes. Although new to St. Mary’s, Mrs. Wilcox has taught in both the Catholic and public schools settings for many years. During her career, she has taught every grade level from preschool 2 year olds to college level biology, botany and A & P.  Most recently, Mrs. Wilcox taught biology and Advance Biology at Lansingburgh High School; where for a number of years, she was also Science Department Chairperson. She holds New York State Permanent Certification: N-6, Biology and General Science for grades 7-12. Mrs. Wilcox earned both her Bachelors and Masters degrees from the College of St. Rose. She has been a resident of Waterford for over 30 years.

Mr. Sean Debiase joined the St. Mary's School community in 2015 as the Middle School English Language Arts teacher. His role expanded in March of 2016 when he assumed the role of Technology teacher. Mr. Debiase is a graduate of St. John's University and comes to us after teaching at Cathedral Preparatory in New York, from which he is an alumnus.

Ms. Maria Verdile attended Siena College and the State University of New York at Albany to receive her Bachelor’s degree of Fine Art. She then attended The International School of Animation at Sheridan College in Ontario, Canada for an additional three year degree in Animation and Cartooning. Ms Verdile has thirteen years of experience in teaching art in both high school and elementary levels with the last 7 years at St. Mary’s.

Miss Laura Clow is St. Mary's School Physical Education teacher. Miss Clow holds a Bachelor of Science from Sage College of Albany in Physical Education and a Masters of Science in Health Education from Sage Graduate School in Troy. In addition to teacher physical education here at St. Mary's School, Miss Clow is a Health Coach for Community Care Physicians.

Mrs. Heddy Cashman is the Spanish Teacher for grades 1st through 8th. She was born in Caracas, Venezuela and has been teaching Spanish in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany for fourteen years. She taught in St. James School in Albany and St. Brigid's in Watervliet prior to joining the faculty at St. Mary's. Mrs. Cashman attended Universidad Central de Venezuela where she studied in the school of Social Communication, and Journalism. She also has an Associate Degree from Hudson Community College.

Mr. Jesse Rawson joined our community in the fall of 2016. He is a graduate of the College of St. Rose, with a bachelors degree in Music education.  He has been an active member of the music ministry in his parish community, St. Vincent's as well as Pyramid Lake in the Adirondacks.

Ms. Liz Angelini has been blessed with the opportunity to teach here at St. Mary's. She is currently in her 9h year teaching and is now our school's Remedial Reading/Math teacher. Ms. Angelini received her undergraduate degree in Psychology/Education from LeMoyne College. From there, she went on to receive my Master's Degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy from Walden University. She is New York State certified in Childhood Education Gr. 1-6 and Children with Disabilities Gr. 1-6. In addition to teaching, she has also served as a JV volleyball and softball coach at Saratoga Central Catholic in past years.
