New registrations are accepted year round for students in grades where space is available. Many classes do close out during the traditional registration period, which is early to mid spring. We will begin accepting registrations for the 2018-2019 school year when Open Enrollment begins on March 1st. Inquiries for placement for the current year must contact the school office for an appointment with Mrs. Rushkoski, Principal.
Open registration for the 2018-2019 School year will begin on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 1:00-6:00 p.m.
Visit St. Mary's
We strongly recommend all families visit and tour the school, either during an open house or during an individually scheduled tour. This gives new families the opportunity to ask questions about the program, in order to make an informed decision regarding placement. We also recommend students entering grades 1st and older spend a day shadowing a class. Your child will have far less anxiety about a transition to a new school if he or she has been given the chance to see it and familiarize themselves with the community.
In early March, we open registration up to new families for the next school year. We will accept registrations at that time and continue to do so throughout the year. Once you have completed the St. Mary's School Registration form, submit it to the school office, along with your child(ren's) birth certificate and baptismal certificate (if applicable). A one-time non-refundable registration fee of $200, payable to St. Mary's School, will also be collected at the time of registration. $150.00 of that registration fee will be credited to your family's FACTS tuition account in September, after your child(ren) have started the academic year. When the number of applicants exceeds the number of openings, priority is given to active members of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish and neighboring parishes without schools. Students entering our 4 year old pre-kindergarten program must be 4 years of age by December 1st of the year. Students entering the 3 year old pre-k program must be 3 years of age by September 1st of the year.
Transcripts and Health records
For students transferring from other schools, academic as well as health records must be received from your child's previous school. We will ask you to complete a Request for Records transfer form, in order to retrieve those records.
Transportation and text book Requests
You must apply for transportation each year with your public school district. Forms can be found on your public school district website and must be returned to them. Please remember the due date for these forms is April 1st. Additionally, we will provide you with a Textbook Loan form for your signature. This will entitle your child to receive his or her necessary text book materials.
